181 Fremont in San Francisco was just recently featured as a Green Design Awards winner in USGlass Magazine‘s November issue. 181 Fremont is a 60-story, mixed use skyscraper, designed by Heller Manus. Benson Industries was the glaze contractor for the high performance exterior façade, the fully glazed system extends from floor to ceiling level on each floor.

The USGlass Magazine article goes into detail about the curtainwall’s energy efficient features:

“The unique glass curtainwall system maximizes natural light, improves the quality of light and reduces power consumption.”
